Inflammaging is the chronic, low-grade inflammation that occurs with age. As such, inflammaging is a critical mediator of various age-related diseases, particularly cardiovascular disease (CVD). My research focuses on exploring lipid changes that arise in age-related diseases to expose novel therapeutic strategies. I also aim Ito create a mass spectrometry-based lipidomics workflow to quantify inflammation signaling oxylipins and their precursors that can be used for clinical diagnostic assessment of CVD risk and other inflammaging comorbidities.

T32 faculty mentors are strongly encouraged to attend in person.
